Tell the State of Utah what you need to say about Provo Canyon School (PCS).
PCS has a decades-long history of consistent abuse allegations. Utah has finally moved to protect children by revoking its license to operate— but PCS may appeal this decision.
If you have personal experience or firsthand knowledge of Provo Canyon School, your words matter.
You can copy and paste the template below to write to the Utah Department of Licensing, or create your own completely in your own words, asking them to please enforce the closure of Provo Canyon School. Most important is to speak clearly to your experience and what you know firsthand, as well as writing with respect. Anger threats are never useful in this cause for protecting youth, they only hurt it.

Subject: Please Uphold the Revocation of Provo Canyon School's License
To The Utah DLBC and Governor Cox,
I am writing to urge you to uphold the revocation of Provo Canyon School's license and reject any appeal seeking to restore operations at the Springville campus.
For decades, Provo Canyon School has been the consistent subject of abuse allegations, reports, investigations, and violations involving the treatment of children in its care. The recent decision to revoke the facility's license reflects serious concerns about its ability to adequately protect and care for vulnerable youth.
[Write your personal connection here. ex: I am a former staff. I am a parent of a former resident. I am a survivor of abuse at PCS.]
[Share your experience in a few sentences. Describe what you witnessed, experienced, learned, or why this issue matters to you personally.]
The decision currently before the State of Utah is not simply about one facility. It is about whether children will be protected from a documented pattern of harm. I respectfully ask that the state prioritize the safety and well-being of children over the interests of a corporation seeking to continue operating.
Please uphold the revocation of Provo Canyon School's license and prevent the facility from continuing to accept new youth. Please also look to the safety of the children still held at the Provo campus.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
[Name] [Former resident / parent / former staff member / etc]
